Mark Starowicz is executive director of CBC’s Documentary Programming. In a radio and television career spanning over three decades at CBC he created some of Canada’s most influential current affairs and documentary programs. On radio he produced As It Happens and created Sunday Morning. On television he was the architect and executive producer of The Journal, the leading news program, which ran from 1982 to 1992. Mr. Starowicz was creator and executive producer of the monumental 32-hour documentary series Canada: A People’s History.
