Daniel Benjamin is co-author with Steven Simon of The Age of Sacred Terror: Radical Islam’s War Against America, which won the U.S. Council on Foreign Relations Book Award for 2004. He was Director of counterterrorism at the U.S. National Security Council during the Clinton Administration.
