Jonathan D. Spence

Jonathan D. Spence is George Burton Adams Professor of History at Yale University. He was named a MacArthur Fellow in 1988. Born in England in 1936, and educated at Winchester College and Cambridge University and received a Ph.D. in history from Yale in 1965.
